No Place like Home
The story below is for 35th anniversary of Nike’s iconic silhouette the Air Force 1. The shoe has been a staple in the closets of almost everyone that grew up in a major city in the United States since it first hit shelves. The reason is that It is a shoe that is equally celebrated by a wide range of ambassadors, from people that grew up playing hoops to people that needed a go-to sneaker to combine with their wildest fits.
The production of this story is a personal one too. First, we filmed this in my home city of Chicago. I love it more than 99% things. I also had many of my friends not only help me produce this piece but also star in it. The concept was to represent Chicago and the only way to do that is to be made by Chicagoans. Next this piece was the first time I got to work on a Nike campaign. I fell in love with creating and advertising because of Nike and Michael Jordan, so it was a dream come true, honestly.
